The TexStar Peach Tree was developed by the Texas A&M breeding program to provide an early frost-hardy variety adapted to the mild winter areas of Texas. This peach tree has early pink flowers in the spring and red-blushed, large fruit ripening in early June.
The semi-clingstone fruit has yellow flesh, with a hint of blush towards the center. These Texas peaches are firm and flavorful. Perfect for baking, canning, and fresh eating.
The TeStar Peach tree produces a generous crop of peaches and does not need a pollinator. Estimated chill hours are 450-600.
