Plants readily multiply into dense clumps. Super easy and tough.
Stoke's Aster or Stokesia Daisies are durable drought, deer, and rabbit resistant, clump-forming native perennials. Their reliability and durability make them highly recommended garden perennials. In the northern most portions of its range, zones 5 and 6, it should be provided with a deep winter mulch. Their only downfall is wet soggy winter soils which could cause rot. Otherwise these are great garden performers that will bring their owners many years of enjoyment with almost no maintenance required. Attracts butterflies and a host of other pollinators. May reseed under good conditions though it may be unlikely to where mulched.
